About this Event
What was once a pair of military boots has become a personal work of art.
Through Healing in Arts workshops, women veterans transformed military boots using paint, memorabilia, and symbols that are meaningful to each participant. Each pair reflects a unique military journey—stories of friendship, service, sacrifice, remembrance, resilience, and hope.
Inspired by the military tradition of tossing boots over a fence at the end of a deployment, duty station, or military career, Boots on the Fence transforms this symbolic gesture into a public celebration of women who served.
