About the book:
Take your young race fan on a journey through the alphabet and into the world of Formula 1. Written by Andy Amendola and illustrated by Wei Ren with 34 vivid pages inspired by real tracks and racing moments worldwide, this picture book follows Red Racer and Roxy the engineer as they introduce kids ages 3–8 to real racing concepts.
What's Inside Each letter of the alphabet introduces a key Formula 1 racing term with detailed explanations designed for young minds. Red Racer and Roxy the engineer serve as guides, making complex concepts like aerodynamics, pit strategy, and race-day teamwork approachable, engaging, and genuinely fun to explore.
About the author:
Andy Amendola is the founder of Red Racer Books, a proud Hispanic American, and a dad of two. He discovered his love for motorsports later in life and wanted to share that excitement with his kids through books. When he realized there were very few children’s books about motorsports, Andy set out to write his own.
Today, Andy creates stories for Red Racer Books while collaborating with writers, drivers, racing insiders, engineers, and illustrators to bring the excitement of racing to young readers. He lives just outside Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife, children, and their speedy pup, Skye.
By purchasing a book from BookPeople, you are not only supporting a local, independent business – you’re showing publishers that they should continue sending authors to BookPeople.
Thank you for supporting Andy Amendola and your local independent bookstore!
