About this Event
"Sometimes I saw her: She would come out of her room with a basin, or a plate, or a tray in her hand, go down to the kitchen and shortly return, generally (oh romantic reader, forgive me for telling the plain truth!) bearing a pot of porter." — Jane Eyre
Join us for a bookish beer launch, celebrating the release of Modist Brewing Co.'s Jane Eyre-inspired brew, Poole's Porter!
Tropes & Trifles is hosting a launch party at Modist Brewing Co. with a field day-style book club focused on all things Jane Eyre. The book club is structured as a rotating selection of small-group activities, including (but not limited to):
- book discussion! (obviously)
- crafts!
- games!
- and more...
If you've ever been to a Tropes & Trifles Bonkers Book Club...it'll be similar to that!
Never been? Come try it out! It's a book club disguised as a party, with lots of opportunity to meet new people who love—or sometimes don't love—the same books you do, in a low-pressure, often goofy, environment.
Ticketing:
Tickets are $15 and include a 16 oz. pour from Modist (NA options available), and a $10 coupon for Tropes & Trifles (use it at the on-site pop-up table, or save it to use at the store at a later date!) Must be present at the launch event to claim your coupon and your pour.
Four packs of Poole's Porter will also be available for purchase!
Cheers!
