Theme: Bitter First, Sweet After
Matcha doesn't hit you sweet right away. The bitterness comes first, and the sweetness reveals itself after, if you stay with it. We're pairing that with a reading theme: books about women who don't perform likeability. No softening, no apologising, no being palatable on the first sip.
This session brings together a proper matcha tasting, a hands-on whisking workshop, and a curated book, all in one afternoon.
What's included
- Matcha Tasting Session — intro to matcha, matcha 101 (grades, matcha vs. hojicha, what affects taste, nutritional benefits), a guided tasting of 2 types of matcha with a sensory experience, and reflections to close. Comes with printouts and 2 matcha samples.
- Matcha Whisking & DIY — whisk your own serving of matcha and build a DIY matcha latte (milk base + syrup, vegan options available). All equipment provided on-site.
- A curated book from the "Bitter First, Sweet After" selection, yours to keep.
