About the speakers:
Leopoldo Goût is a multidisciplinary artist, internationally published author, and Emmy-nominated producer. Born in Mexico City and trained at London’s renowned Central Saint Martins School of Art, Goût is known for blending memory, cultural legacy, and speculative visions of the future in his deeply personal and globally resonant works. His critically acclaimed novels include Ghost Radio, Piñata, and Rooted. Leopoldo's short story, Luz y Fer, is included in the Something Followed Us Home anthology.
Zoraida Córdova is the acclaimed author of more than a dozen novels and short stories, including The Fall of Rebel Angels, the Brooklyn Brujas series, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: A Crash of Fate, and The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina. In addition to writing novels, she serves on the board of We Need Diverse Books, is the coeditor of the bestselling anthology Vampires Never Get Old, and is the cohost of the writing podcast Deadline City. She writes romance novels as Zoey Castile. Zoraida was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and when she’s not working, she’s roaming the world in search of magical stories. Zoraida's short story, The Immaculate Rebirth of Nicki Duran, is included in the Something Followed Us Home anthology.
Ananda Lima is the award-winning author of and . Her work has appeared in American Poetry Review, Poets.org, Kenyon Review, Electric Literature, and elsewhere. She is a Contributing Editor at Poets & Writers and Program Curator at StoryStudio, Chicago. She was named in Newcity’s 2025 Lit 50 list, recognizing influential people and organizations shaping Chicago’s literary culture. Ananda's short story, Specter, is included in the Something Followed Us Home anthology.
Alex Segura is the bestselling and award-winning author of Secret Identity, winner of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Mystery/Thriller and a New York Times Editor’s Choice and an NPR Best Mystery of the Year. He's also the author of the Pete Fernandez series, as well as the Star Wars novel, Poe Dameron: Free Fall, and a Spider-Verse adventure called Araña/Spider-Man 2099: Dark Tomorrow. Alex's short story, Fidelity, is included in the Something Followed Us Home anthology.
