Join us at Leica Store San Francisco on Saturday, November 21, for an afternoon celebrating Ukraïne: Recipes and Stories from Kyiv to the Black Sea, a visually rich cookbook and travelogue by Ukrainian chef and photographer .
Born and raised in Southern Ukraine, chef Voloshyna traveled across her homeland, from the Carpathian Mountains to the Black Sea, gathering recipes, stories, and friendships along the way. The result is a deeply personal portrait of Ukraine told through its food, people, landscapes, and traditions.
Jason’s photographs offer an intimate visual journey through the country, from the streets of Kyiv and sunflower-covered fields to the Carpathian peaks and the shimmering waters of the Black Sea. Together, the photographs and stories capture the people, places, and culinary traditions that make Ukraine so extraordinary.
During the event, Anna and Jason will share stories behind the making of the book, their experiences documenting Ukraine, and the ways food and photography can preserve memory, culture, and place. Following the conversation, they will be available to sign copies of Ukraïne.
Come for an afternoon of stories, photography, food, and a little holiday inspiration!
