New for Autumn!!A welcoming monthly book club for people who love reading, talking about books, and finding out what everyone else made of the same story.
This book club is a traditional format: each month, we’ll choose a book to read in advance, then get together to chat about it - favourite bits, unexpected bits, strong opinions, wild interpretations and all.
It’s a chance to meet people who share your love of books, swap thoughts, enjoy a bit of friendly debate, and discover perspectives you might not have considered.
The Story Sanctuary is an inclusive, non-judgemental space, so you don’t need to be a literary expert - just curious, respectful and up for a good conversation.
We have a Book Club WhatsApp group - access given once you've attended in person.
Practical Details:
Our building is not (yet) fully accessible, there are steps down to the toilets which are not suitable for wheelchair users or those who need assistance.
Optional Donation:
The Story Sanctuary is a grassroots community initiative, led by volunteers. To help balance accessibility with sustainability, we charge for some events but not others.
If you are able to make a donation, we are very grateful, but it is never expected.
