A love story and a political dynasty for the ages - read the lives of John and Abigail Adams in their own words.About this Event
The first preserved letter John Adams wrote to his future wife Abigail in 1762 was addressed to “Miss Adorable.” Throughout the next half century of their marriage, the Adamses were prolific writers to each other during some of the most tumultuous years of American history. They wrote of everyday aches and pains alongside declarations of independence, words crossing the lines of colonies and continents. Join us for a discussion of their correspondence, arranged and annotated by Margaret Hogan and C. James Taylor. Discussion leader to be announced.
