Grab the costumes, round up the kids and bring your biggest candy bucket! Boo on Ballard is back Thursday, Oct. 29! Voted Wylie's favorite event in Historic Downtown, this free family tradition transforms Ballard Avenue into one giant trick-or-treat trail from Hwy. 78 to Brown Street. From 6 to 8 p.m., more than 80 local businesses and nonprofit organizations will line the street handing out candy to little ghosts, superheroes, princesses, dinosaurs and whatever else shows up this year. Best of all? Admission, parking and candy are completely free. With Ballard closed to traffic during the event, families can enjoy a fun, safe evening of trick-or-treating right in the heart of downtown.And the fun doesn't stop when your candy bucket gets heavy! Head over to Glow in the Park at Olde City Park from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for a zipline, mechanical bulls, inflatables and more. Wander over to The Cross Church Trunk-or-Treat on Marble Avenue for even more treats and Halloween fun, then make a stop at the Welcome Center at Brown House for a delightfully spooky Victorian Haunt and a photo worth keeping.
Come for the costumes. Stay for the fun. Leave with enough candy to last until Thanksgiving. 🍬👻
