About this Event
The series is designed to highlight the work of Early Career Researchers (ECRs) across the chemical sciences who hold intersectional identities. Our aim is to create a space where cutting-edge research and lived experiences are shared side by side.
All speakers are UK-based early-career chemical scientists within 8 years of their first academic appointment with intersectional identities. Join us as we hear their lived experiences and career journey whilst also connecting to peers through collaboration and networking. This event sponsored by Royal Society of Chemistry will be an in-person event.
Join us for a talk by Dr. Anisha Haris who is a senior applications scientist at the Waters Corporation. She will share her research developing advanced applications for charge detection mass spectrometry (CDMS), a cutting-edge analytical technique for accurately characterizing large, complex biomolecules—including protein complexes, virus-like particles, and viral vectors—critical to biopharmaceutical research and gene therapy.
Dr Haris will also share her career journey as a second-generation Bangladeshi Muslim woman navigating spaces with limited representation. Her journey has motivated her to support others and advocate for greater inclusivity in the chemistry.
