About this Event
Facilitated by Laurinda Cheng, Registered Psychotherapist and Dance Instructor
What would it be like to feel alive in your body?
I offer this group movement journey as an occasion to slow down and really listen to what your body has to tell you. This is an invitation to get out of your head and connect with your body. Movement becomes the metaphor. It is an opportunity to discover other ways of knowing this infinite world...
Body of the Possible is trauma-informed and aims to provide a safer container to explore movement and the self. I will facilitate solo movement exercises based on somatic and mindfulness approaches where you are invited to connect with your internal experience, the movement within you, and the music. While this is a group movement journey that we will do together, there will be no physical contact with other movers in this workshop. We will complete our journey with some time for solo integration (e.g. journaling, drawing), and a group sharing circle.
Body of the Possible is for those who desire to connect deeper with themselves and their body. It is open to all levels, bodies, and abilities. This is a space where people of all backgrounds and identities are welcome.
