About this Event
Block Printing Workshop with Nix
Come learn the art of block printing in a hands-on workshop led by artist Nix!
You’ll be guided through the entire process; from designing and carving your own stamp to inking and hand-printing your artwork. Along the way, you’ll get to play with texture, repetition, layering, and composition while creating something that feels completely your own.
No prior experience needed! Just come ready to create.
What you’ll learn:
- The basics of relief and block printing
- How to transfer your own design onto a carving block
- Carving techniques and how to safely use the tools
- How to properly ink and hand-print your design
- How to experiment with repetition, layering, texture, and composition
- How to create your own original work rather than following a rigid template
You’ll leave with:
✨ Your own hand-carved stamp to keep and use again and again
✨ A canvas zip-up bag printed with your design
✨ The skills to continue designing, carving, and printing on your own
✨ And the experience of making something completely by hand!
This workshop is designed to be creative, playful, and beginner-friendly. Nix will be there to guide you through each step while giving you plenty of room to experiment and make your piece your own.
Space is very limited, so grab your spot now!
