Red Room Comedy Club and Vitalant are teaming up for Bleed Local, a blood drive + comedy open mic. We're taking over the Red Room Comedy Club parking lot for the day! The blood drive kicks off at 2 PM, so come early, donate, grab some food and refreshments, and hang with us for a couple of hours before the open mic starts at 4 PM.
WANT TO PERFORM? Reserve your blood donation appointment and you're automatically on the open mic list - no separate sign-up needed! The mic order will follow the same order as the blood donation appointments, so we'll already have your name and spot ready to go. Every comic gets 5 minutes, and the best set of the night wins a 20-minute headline set at Red Room Comedy Club!
WANT TO WATCH? Absolutely! The blood drive is open to everyone. Come donate blood, grab some food, hang out with us, and enjoy watching comics perform after giving a pint of blood.

Yes. Cannabis use itself doesn't automatically disqualify you. You just cannot be under the influence when you donate.
🍺 I drink?
Yes. You cannot be under the influence during your donation, and Vitalant recommends avoiding alcohol before donating.
🖋️ I recently got a tattoo?
Probably! If your tattoo was done at a state-regulated shop using sterile needles and single-use ink, there's generally no waiting period. Certain states and other circumstances require a 3-month wait. Check Vitalant's Tattoo & Piercing Guidelines
💊 I'm on medication?
Most medications are acceptable, but some require a temporary deferral. Don't stop taking prescribed medication just to donate. Check Vitalant's Medication Deferral List
