About this Event
Join us for this session looking at “Recognition, Representation and the Politics of Visibility”. For what we hope will be an engaging and conversational event exploring the importance of recognising, celebrating and amplifying Black people’s identities, experiences and contributions both within and beyond academia.
Recognition and representation matter and Black people have made, and continue to make, significant contributions to education, research, culture, business, public life and our wider communities. Yet these contributions and lived experiences are not always fully or fairly acknowledged or represented. This event creates space to reflect on whose voices are heard, whose achievements are celebrated and how we can challenge barriers to meaningful visibility and inclusion.
Through shared lived experiences and meaningful conversations, we will celebrate the diversity and excellence of Black communities.
