Kilenc éves a BJC Big Band - ezt az alkalmat dupla koncerttel ünneplik meg a Budapest Jazz Clubban. Szólistaként Paul Booth brit szaxofonos csatlakozik hozzájuk Angilából.
Paul Booth Nagy Britannia egyik legkeresetteb szaxofonosa, több mint egy évtizede Steve Winwood állandó zenésze, pályája során a Steely Dan, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Van Morrison, Chaka Khan, Jamiroquai és Rod Stewart mellett is játszott. Az Incognito és a TRYPL állandó tagja.
A születésnapnak van egy külön története is. Kilenc évvel ezelőtt, 2017 októberében a zenekar első koncertjén egy brit trombitás volt a vendég: Ryan Quigley. Telt ház volt, az élő közvetítést több ezren nézték. Most visszatér arra a színpadra, ahol az egész elkezdődött.
Harmadik visszatérő vendég Matt Yardley, londoni trombitás, a nyugat-londoni színházi világ elismert lead trombitása.
A BJC Big Bandet 2017-ben Csizmadia Dávid trombitaművész hívta életre, a Budapest Jazz Club házizenekaraként. Kilenc év alatt olyan vendégekkel játszottak, mint Eric Miyashiro, Louis Dowdeswell, Gunhild Carling és Thomas Gansch.
Egy este, két koncert, három brit vendég.

A koncert a Nemzeti Kulturális Alap támogatásával valósul meg.

The BJC Big Band is turning nine years old – they are celebrating this occasion with a double concert at the Budapest Jazz Club. British saxophonist Paul Booth is joining them as a guest soloist from England.
Paul Booth is one of the most sought-after saxophonists in Great Britain and has been a regular member of Steve Winwood's band for over a decade. Throughout his career he has also performed alongside Steely Dan, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Van Morrison, Chaka Khan, Jamiroquai and Rod Stewart. He is a permanent member of Incognito and TRYPL.
The birthday has its own story. Nine years ago, in October 2017, a British trumpeter was the guest at the band's very first concert: Ryan Quigley. The house was full, and thousands watched the live stream. Now he returns to the stage where it all began.
The third returning guest is Matt Yardley, a London-based trumpeter and acclaimed lead trumpeter of the West London theatre world.
The BJC Big Band was founded in 2017 by trumpeter Dávid Csizmadia as the Budapest Jazz Club's house band. Over nine years they have performed with guests including Eric Miyashiro, Louis Dowdeswell, Gunhild Carling and Thomas Gansch.
One evening, two concerts, three British guests.
Concerts: 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM.
