About this Event
Wilstone Reservoir is the largest of the Tring reservoirs, owned by the Canal and River Trust and Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust. In previous years it is a good site for many wintering waterfowl including Wigeon, Teal, Pochard, Tufted Ducks, Goldeneye and Pintail. At this time of year Lapwings and Golden Plovers are often seen feeding out on the mud.
We will start the walk at 9:30am from the top of the steps at the reserve car park
It may be cold and possibly muddy. Please wear suitable clothes and footwear.
The event is free but a voluntary donation of £2 per person is suggested.
All welcome, whatever your level of birdwatching knowledge. Bring suitable clothing and footwear for the weather, especially if it has been raining in previous days.
