About this Event
The coastal waters of Northumberland and Berwickshire are home to a remarkable and truly unique mix of wildlife not found elsewhere in the UK.
Amy Hopley will give talk about the biodiversity and current monitoring of health of Northumberland and Berwickshire rocky shores, and this will be followed by a talk on ‘Shorebird Protection’ by Richard Willis.
Amy is Assistant Partnership Officer at the Berwickshire and Northumberland Marine Nature Partnership;
Richard is Senior Wildlife Ranger, Space for Shorebirds, Coastal Mitigation Service.
If there is enough interest, Richard’s talk may be followed up by a guided walk looking at the birds of Little Beach in Berwick a week or two later.
This is a joint event between BEA and Greener Berwick. There will be a tea break, and plenty of time for questions at the end.
Attendees with special requirements should check with the venue before the event if possible.
Tea and coffee will be served, and all are welcome. There is no need to print out and bring your ticket, as we will have a record of your booking.
