Black Girl Knit Club x Oatly Workshop: Step into the world of the * and join Black Girl Knit Club
Create Your Own Knitted Drinks Coaster
Explore colour, texture and pattern through a hands-on knitting workshop inspired by Oatly and relax in the Ambassador's Lounge.
Participants will create their own knitted drinks coaster using a variety of upcycled and textural yarns. Experiment with stripes and colour blocking techniques whilst trying one of Oatly’s new drink recipes from their latest Look Book.
Participants can mix different yarn weights, colours and textures, making each coaster individually inspired by the Black Girl Knit Club Conscious Crafts Mindful Makes Book Coaster project.
Workshop activities:
- Experiment with a selection of upcycled yarns
- All knit levels welcome, including colour-change techniques
- Led by 2 BGKC Knitwear Facilitators
- Create a finished knitted coaster to take home.
This workshop is a beginner/ Intermediate level. All levels welcome!
*The is a fully immersive experience by Oatly located in the heart of London's diplomatic quarter. From the 23rd-24th October, Londoners can try the hottest (and coldest) drinks inspired by trends from its new Future of Taste Report. Together, we're creating a space for people to meet, connect and see what unfolds when you put some yarn and good company in the same room.
Beyond this session, you will be free to explore everything that the Embassy has to offer complimentary refreshments, an audio tour of the Museum of Modern Oats, drop-in drinks workshops, and more!
