Beyond the Veil: Honoring Our Ancestors

A Sacred Ceremony of Ancestral Remembrance, Cacao & Shamanic Journeying

Sunday, November 1st · 5:00 PM · Alaric's Abbey (555 Rivergate Lane Durango, CO)

For thousands of years, across cultures and continents, our ancestors have marked this time of year as sacred.

The Celts called it Samhain. In Mexico, families build altars of marigolds and candlelight for Día de los Muertos. In Colombia, Haiti, the Philippines, Poland, and beyond, cemeteries glow and tables are set for those who have crossed over. Again and again, people around the world have recognized the same truth: as autumn deepens and the light wanes, the veil between the worlds grows thin.

It is a time when the ones who came before us draw near, when remembrance becomes a doorway and love reaches across lifetimes.

You carry your ancestors in your blood, your bones, your gifts, and even your wounds. Their prayers, their survival, and their unfinished stories live on through you. When we turn toward them with intention and reverence, we open ourselves to profound healing, guidance, and a deep sense of belonging that so many of us have been longing for.

You are the medicine they prayed for. This is your invitation to remember.

💚The Ceremony

Together, Alaric and Maria will hold a sacred, heart-centered container for you to connect with your lineage, receive guidance, and honor those who walked before you. The following will be included in this immersive experience:

🕊️Peace Talk with Alaric
We begin by gathering in community as Alaric opens our evening with a Peace Talk, grounding us in presence, intention, and the sacredness of the space we're stepping into together.

☕Sacred Cacao Opening
We'll open our hearts with ceremonial cacao, a plant medicine honored for millennia by Indigenous peoples of Central and South America. Cacao gently softens the heart and deepens our connection to Spirit, preparing us for the journey ahead.

🧭Honoring the 7 Directions
We call in the East, South, West, North, Above (Ethers), Below (Earth), and Within, honoring the elements, the spirit helpers, and the sacred center that lives inside each of us. This ancient practice opens and protects our ceremonial space.

🥁Shamanic Journey: Meet Your Compassionate Ancestor Guide
Guided by the rhythm of the drum, you'll journey beyond the veil to meet a compassionate ancestor guide who wants to work with you in THIS lifetime. This is a loving, benevolent ancestor ready to offer you wisdom, protection, healing, and support for the path you're walking now. No prior journeying experience is needed. You'll be guided every step of the way.

🕯️The Ancestor Sacred Space
Throughout the evening, our communal altar will hold the photos, heirlooms, and offerings we bring to honor our beloved dead and our lineages, a living tapestry of the love and stories that brought each of us here.

🗨️Sharing/Reflection & Health Conscious Refreshments
We'll close in circle with time to share, reflect, and integrate what came through, followed by light refreshments and community.

🌟Annnnddd more LIMITLESS surprises for YOU!
