-Theravada/Insight—Burmese, Thai Forest traditions
In this 2-part series, we will offer an introduction toward understanding the various schools of Buddhism, as well as placing and exploring where the Durango Dharma Center and the insight meditation lineage fall within these traditions. As well, we will touch on what is meant by lineage. This is an introductory class, covering just an overview of what is rich and varied and vast territory, but hope will serve to shine a little light on what can sometimes feel at times convoluted or confusing. The class will include short meditations, talks, discussion and time for Q&A.
