About this Event
Beyond Access: Disability, Intimacy & Sexual Health
What happens when we move beyond access and talk openly about intimacy, relationships, sexuality, and desire?
Beyond Access begins with an open house where attendees can explore different perspectives on accessibility, disability, and sexual health, connect with community organizations and advocates, and learn more about what access can look like across different experiences and bodies. Come early, wander through the tables, ask questions, and connect with others before the evening’s moderated panel begins.
The panel will bring together disabled advocates, healthcare perspectives, and community voices to explore disability and sexuality, relationships and intimacy, sexual health, and the ways our bodies, identities, and lived experiences shape how we connect with ourselves and others.
This conversation is intentionally broader than medicine. We’ll make space for lived experience, candid questions, and perspectives from within the disability community because sexual health is about far more than clinical care.
It’s about autonomy, communication, confidence, connection, pleasure, and the ability to participate fully in life.
Come curious. Come ready to listen. And come ready to talk about the things we don’t talk about enough.
