BETWEEN US: A LOVE LETTER TO AUSTIN
An evening of art, community, and new beginnings.
After 15 years of calling Austin home, I'm beginning a new chapter. I'm moving to Mexico City!
But this isn't goodbye. It's an expansion of everything we've built together—the friendships, collaborations, creative communities, and connections that have shaped my life and work.
Before I go, I want to celebrate the city and the people who made it all possible.
On Friday, October 30, I'll be bringing together work from across my artistic journey for one night only, including new paintings created during my recent residency with Freischwimmer e.V. in Krefeld, Germany, alongside pieces from Crossing States and earlier chapters of my practice.
This exhibition brings together years of artistic exploration, from layered sculptural works to paintings exploring identity, belonging, and the spaces between places.
But more than anything, this evening is about the people who have made the past 15 years possible. It's a celebration of the relationships we've built, the communities we've created, and the possibilities still ahead.
As I expand my practice to Mexico City, I hope to continue building bridges between creative communities, bringing new people, ideas, and opportunities into the network we've already created.
There may be space between us, but there will always be something between us.
I hope you'll join me for a night of art, conversation, and celebration.
