About this Event
This two-hour workshop is a chance to explore the ideas behind the Between Practices six-week course.
We'll move between meditation and creative practice, using breath, attention, automatic drawing and visualisation to explore what happens when we let go of the pressure to produce a particular outcome amd become immersed in the process of making.
- You might discover that meditation can open up unexpected creative possibilities.
- You might discover that drawing can become a form of meditation.
- Or you might simply discover a different way of feeling relaxed and connected.
There is no specific level of artistic skill or experience of meditation needed, just curiosity to explore.
There is nothing to get right and no expectation to produce a finished artwork.
A taste of the full course
This workshop is designed as an introduction to the themes and approach of the full Between Practices course.
In the course, we'll explore attention, receptivity, embodiment, imagination, expression and transformation, developing practical ways for meditation and creative practice to inform and enhance one another.

Practical Information
- Materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own
- Some activities might get a little messy, so dress in clothes that you don't mind getting charcoal or paint smudges on!
