What is the Nordic Mixer, you ask?
The Nordic Mixer was created to bring Seattle's Nordic communities together in one welcoming space. First held at the Swedish Club in April 2025, it began as a collaborative gathering where people from across the Nordic community—and anyone who appreciates Nordic culture—could meet, make new friends, and strengthen connections.
Today, the event is a collaboration among Seattle's Nordic community organizations, including the Finlandia Foundation Seattle Chapter, the Icelandic Club of Greater Seattle, the Northwest Danish Association, Sons of Norway – Leif Erikson Lodge, and the Swedish Club. It also welcomes participation from the National Nordic Museum, Nordic Honorary Consuls, Nordic Sister Cities programs, and friends of Nordic culture, creating opportunities for connection, collaboration, and celebration across Seattle's Nordic communities.
Enjoy music, conversation, and a $15 Danish dinner, while connecting with members and friends of Seattle’s Nordic community. Around 6PM, we’ll pause for a few short remarks from representatives of Seattle’s Nordic organizations, and then start singing at 7PM!
