¿QUIÉN ESCRIBE LA HISTORIA? ¿QUIÉN DECIDE QUÉ RECORDAMOS?
.
.
Tres películas. Un país. Una memoria que sigue abierta.

WHO WRITES HISTORY? WHO DECIDES WHAT WE REMEMBER?
.
Alex is about to become a father when he discovers a family album that confronts him with the secrets of his own history. Through photographs, silences and memories, traces of infidelity, violence and the internal armed conflict that marked Peru begin to emerge. What begins as an intimate story becomes a journey into the wounds of a family and an entire country.
.
Because memory is never just personal. In societies marked by political violence, conflicts and dictatorships, remembering also means contesting the narrative of the past: what is told, what is silenced and which wounds remain open. Can a family escape the history of its country? And can a country reconcile with what it has yet to remember?
.
With FAMILY ALBUM, Peruvian director Joel Calero completes his Memory Trilogy: three films exploring a nation's historical wounds and the persistence of the past in the present.
.
After filling the Babylon with LA ÚLTIMA TARDE and LA PIEL MÁS TEMIDA, we return to the same cinema to present the trilogy's final chapter.
.
Three films. One country. A memory that remains unresolved.
.
⚡ The premiere takes place as part of BERLATIN, our monthly arthouse film series bringing the most exciting and daring new Latin American cinema to Berlin. The series is organised by LATIN QUARTER Film Distribution in collaboration with Kino Babylon.
