About this Event
Bells Across Borders is a special short showcase concert by the ANU Handbell Ensemble, presenting a diverse selection of music arranged for handbells. The program travels from the flowing elegance of On the Beautiful Blue Danube and Morning Has Broken to the cinematic music of Pirates of the Caribbean and Enya’s Orinoco Flow (Sail Away). A special feature is Mimi by acclaimed Yawuru singer-songwriter and composer Stephen Pigram, whose music reflects the distinctive sound-world of the Kimberley. Formed in 2013 for Canberra’s centenary and re-formed in 2026, the 15-member ensemble is delighted to bring the joy of handbell ringing to the Canberra community.
