Imagine this. You walk into a room and suddenly you're connecting, laughing, thinking on your feet, saying "yes, and" to life.
Our 5-week beginning improv class helps you think faster, feel freer, listen better, and trust your instincts. You don't have to be an actor, you don't have to be funny. You just have to be willing to play.
Never been on stage? Perfect. We'll guide you step by step in a supportive environment. Already an actor or improviser? Great. You'll sharpen spontaneity, character, and scene work skills that carry into auditions, performance, and original content.
This is the foundation of The Improv Trick program. Then, if you're hooked, continue into our rotating next-level intensives. Character, musical, status, physical comedy, performance, and more. Build your own path. Take what excites you. Stay with it.
As you continue, there are chances to perform, create content, and even develop your own shows. At the end of these 5 weeks, you'll have an optional student showcase for family and friends. Not a test, a celebration. Come as you are. Stay with it. See what 5 weeks can do.
Week One is come play. That's your sample class experience, simple games to laugh, listen, connect, and play.
Week Two, you make it real. Space work and object work. Discovering patterns.
Week Three is subtext. What's really being said? Learn about body language and human behavior. Plus more showcase games.
Week Four is boot camp. Reps, strengthening skills, polishing for showcase.
Week Five is a student showcase for family and friends, a celebration.
Fittingly, this core class was created by our founder (Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, The Ringer, SNL, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia). Bill has performed and taught internationally for Second City, iO, Comedy Sportz and Upright Citizen's Brigade.
