Beginning Handbuilding with Julie LatayanWednesdays, October 28 – December 2 | 10am–1pm
Learn the fundamentals of working with clay by hand in this 6 week introductory course with Julie Latayan. No prior experience is needed.
Students will explore three foundational handbuilding techniques: pinch pots, slab building, and coil building. Without the use of a pottery wheel, these techniques allow you to create both functional and sculptural pieces using your hands and simple tools.
Open to all skill levels, high school age and up. Whether you’re new to clay or looking to build on your existing skills, this class offers a hands on introduction to the possibilities of handbuilding.
