Join inkydoug for a fun, relaxed 3-hour beginners’ lino printing workshop at the gorgeous Starling Studio in Fiveways, Brighton.
You’ll learn the basics of one-colour lino printing, from designing and transferring your image, through to carving and inking, to creating your very own prints.
You’ll then use your design to make a collection of bespoke Christmas cards to send to family and friends (or keep a few for yourself!). 🎄
Never tried lino printing before? Don’t worry, I’ll be right there to guide you through each step, share plenty of tips and tricks, and help you along the way. And if you’ve already had a go at lino printing, you’re very welcome too; this is a chance to build on what you’ve learned, try some new techniques and get a little more confident.
You can bring along your own Christmas card idea and create your own design, or, if you’d rather not start from scratch, there’ll be a selection of beautiful Christmas templates for you to choose from and print. So you can simply pick a design you love, get carving and enjoy the fun of making your own cards! 🎄😊
And all materials and equipment are provided, as well as refreshments, there may even be some mince pies!
With just 8 places per workshop, there’ll be plenty of time for help, guidance and a bit of creative experimentation.
