Celebrate Mother's Day with an unforgettable musical experience as internationally acclaimed fortepianist Daniel Adam Maltz brings the music of Ludwig van Beethoven to life at The Hill Arts. This is far more than a piano recital. It is a rare opportunity to hear Beethoven's music on a Viennese fortepiano, the instrument for which it was originally composed. Smaller, lighter, and more intimate than today's modern concert grand, the fortepiano reveals remarkable colors, textures, and expressive nuances that audiences seldom have the chance to experience.
Based in Vienna, where Beethoven lived and composed, Maltz is recognized as one of the world's foremost performers on the fortepiano. Combining extraordinary musicianship with engaging storytelling, he transports audiences into the vibrant musical world of late eighteenth- and early nineteenth-century Vienna, revealing Beethoven's masterpieces as living, breathing works filled with passion, wit, and humanity.
The Hill Arts' intimate 106-seat theater is the perfect setting for this extraordinary instrument, recreating the salon atmosphere for which this music was first written. Here, every shimmering tone and subtle expression can be heard just as Beethoven intended more than 200 years ago.
Whether you're a lifelong lover of classical music or discovering Beethoven for the first time, this special Mother's Day concert promises an afternoon of breathtaking music, fascinating insight, and an unforgettable glimpse into the sound world of one of history's greatest composers.
Treat the mothers in your life, or yourself, to a Mother's Day celebration unlike any other.
