Beer and Hymns was inspired by Irish and English pubs where singing happens frequently and spontaneously, and this often includes the singing of hymns. A music and story-telling festival in North Carolina called the Wild Goose Festival introduced Beer and Hymns in the United States and now there are Beer and Hymns communities all over the country. And it is as simple and wonderful as it sounds.
Songbooks with words will be provided for singers and musician notebooks with lyrics and chords will be provided for musicians. Bring your open heart, bring your voice, bring your instrument, and bring your friends. Show up, grab a songbook, take a seat, order a drink, and have some fun.
