In part one of this two-part Beginner Beekeeping series, All About Bees will cover everything you need to know about honeybees including bee biology, communication, behavior, and so much more!
Led by Carmen of Feral Farms Beekeeping, this lecture-based workshop will take a comprehensive look into the inner workings of a honeybee hive. Starting with the basic question, “what is a bee?,” participants will dive deep into bee biology, behavior, and how these crucial pollinators interact with native species, agricultural systems, humans and the environment. This class will be followed by Beekeeping 102, "The Ins and Outs of Beekeeping".
Walk away with the foundation and knowledge to become a responsible steward of these small but mighty pollinator friends and a copy of the "All About Bees" presentation.

Important Workshop Details:
- Attendees must be 18+
- Attendees should arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
- Refunds are only allowed until 72 hours before the event.
- Bathrooms and refillable water stations are available on site.
- Participants may byo snacks and food with special consideration for longer and "meal-time" workshops. Fridge on site for storage.
- Unless otherwise noted the workshops space is located at the back of the building and does not require use of stairs.
- If a class does not reach a sustainable capacity, the instructor may cancel up to 48 hours before the event. In that case, all attendees will receive a full refund.
