In 2001, the Bentonville Tigers entered the season with modest expectations and an interim head coach. By season’s end, this was about more than football. It was about a team, a moment in history, and a community that came together when it mattered most. Join us for a screening of Bentonville Now’s Because of the Tigers followed by a panel discussion about filmmaking, preserving history, and how a football team can change a community.
The event is part of Stories We Share in collaboration with BFFoundation, producers of the Bentonville Film Festival. Stories We Share is a new community film and conversation series featuring documentaries and narrative films, followed by discussions with creators, experts, and changemakers. Rooted in the belief that stories have the power to bring people together, the initiative uses film to spark dialogue, deepen understanding, and strengthen communities across Northwest Arkansas.
Through Stories We Share, BFFoundation and the Bentonville Public Library create opportunities for audiences to discover compelling films, hear directly from the people behind them, and connect through meaningful conversation. The series extends the spirit of the Bentonville Film Festival into year-round community programming.
