Have you ever heard of a Gelli plate? Do you have one tucked away collecting dust? Whether you are completely new to gel printing or out of practice, it is time to dig out your plate and learn a fun way to use this tool.
This full-day workshop invites you to embrace the joy of letting go of control. We will learn a mono-printing technique to create rich, grungy layers using acrylic paint. Use this technique for holiday cards, or for covering over old pages to give them fresh life. These printed textures serve as a beautiful base layer for mixed media and collage.
About the Instructor:
Gina Barry is a mixed-media artist and a former graphic designer who steps away from her day job—focused on computer screens—to embrace the beautifully unpredictable world of the hand made using a Gelli plate.
