About this Event
Bushwick Book Club Oakland presents its next rendition of songs inspired by a book. This show we are featuring music inspired by Alexis Pauline Gumbs' Undrowned: Black Feminist Lessons from Marine Mammals. Feel free to read the book ahead of time if you'd like. We have a wonderful roster of artists and are excited about the show!
Tickets are pay what you can. All proceeds go to compensating our artists and keeping Bushwick Book Club Oakland afloat (pun intended).

What to Bring:
- Blanket or chair for lounging on the lawn. Some chairs will be available at the venue.
- Stay safe in the sun: bring a hat/your own shade, sunscreen, water. (Stay hydrated!)
- Layers are never a bad idea in the Bay.
Accessibility + Community Care:
Limited parking is available in Peralta Hacienda's wheelchair accessible parking lot, and there is a ramp to the lawn area where the performance will be held.
This event is outdoors in an open park. Please skip if you are not feeling well, have COVID-19 symptoms, or have been in close contact with anyone who is COVID-19+.
General Parking Info:
Ample street parking is available along 34th and Coolidge Avenues and Hyde Street.
