Bat to the Future - Helping Bats Help Us Workshop

This workshop is for Hillsborough County residents/employees only.

October 27, 2026 - 12:00pm-2:00pm. - Bat to the Future: Celebrate International Bat Week with us! Learn about the fascinating history of bats, common Florida bat species, and the important role these nighttime neighbors play in healthy local landscapes.

During this program, we’ll cover how bat houses can support bat populations, the best ways to safely mount and maintain a bat house, and common myths versus facts. After taking this class, residents will feel confident welcoming bats into their neighborhoods.

Each registered household will receive one bat house kit to take home. The event cost is $10 + fees per household. Guests are welcome to attend, but only one kit will be provided per household.

This program is a great fit for homeowners, gardeners, and anyone interested in wildlife-friendly landscaping and conservation.
