About this Event
This "basics" course runs for about 1 to 1.5 hours and covers how to safely operate the tools and equipment. This will provide the information needed to be LMS certified on using the equipment in the shop. For more in-depth project based hands-on instruction, we offer workshops and one-on-one mentoring.
This course will "certify" you on the drum sander, jointer, and planer at LMS. You will be asked to demonstrate how to use the machines to show proficiency.
Individuals are welcome to sign up for multiple basics classes until they feel confident on the equipment.
Closed toed shoes are required. Anyone ages 12 and up are welcome. Attendees under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian present at all times. See the website for other class policies: laceymakerspace.org

Class refund policy:
- 7 calendar days or more before the class start date: Refunds will be given, minus a 10% service fee (Eventbrite fees non-refundable)
- 6 calendar days to 2 days before class start date: Refunds, minus a 10% service fee, will be issued in the form of a credit voucher to be applied to a future offering within 1-year of the issue date.
- No refunds issued within 48 hours of any class offering.
