Celebrate the freedom to read with this banned-books story time designed with 4-to-8-year-old kids in mind, though all families are welcome to attend.
Banned Books Week is an annual event that celebrates the freedom to read and highlights the value of free and open access to information. Scheduled in 2026 from October 4-10, Banned Books Week brings attention to current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries, schools, and bookstores.
