Gitarist Florian De Schepper en violiste Anouk Sanczuk, samen muzikanten van de groep Broes, kozen voor een intieme setting met hun geliefde snaarinstrumenten en doorkruisen zo het ganse folkgamma. Zweeds polska's, Ierse reels, Braziliaans samba's zijn maar enkele voorbeelden van invloeden die de composities van deze jonge, maar reeds ervaren muzikanten behelzen. Hun liefde voor folk staat voorop, maar de honger om te improviseren wordt zeker ook gestild. De muzikale ervaringen die ze met Broes samen in China en Wit-Rusland maakten, zorgen voor een emotionele en energieke band die hun samenspelen zichtbaar versterkt hebben. Virtuozen op snaren, soms integer, dan weer uitbundig, dat is wat je voorgeschoteld krijgt bij een concert van Duo De Schepper-Sanczuk.
BAMAKO EXPRESS
Bamako Express, bestaande uit Florian De Schepper (gitaar), Anouk Sanczuk (viool), Joël Diarra (balafoon & calabash) & Ousmana Diarra (percussie) is geen gewone band; het is een smeltkroes van werelden, een ontmoeting van culturen en een explosie van muzikale schittering. Dit kwartet, bestaande uit twee getalenteerde Belgische muzikanten en twee virtuoze artiesten uit Mali en Burkina Faso, heeft de handen in elkaar geslagen om iets buitengewoons te creëren: een fusie van folk en West-Afrikaanse magie! Ontdek de unieke bezetting van Bamako Express, waar de zoete klanken van de gitaar samensmelten met de diepe resonantie van de bas, de betoverende tonen van de viool en de magische melodieën van de balafoon. Guitarist Florian De Schepper and violinist Anouk Sanczuk, musicians from the group Broes, chose an intimate setting with their beloved string instruments, traversing the entire spectrum of folk music. Swedish polkas, Irish reels, and Brazilian sambas are just a few examples of the influences found in the compositions of these young yet already experienced musicians. Their love for folk music comes first, but their hunger to improvise is certainly satisfied as well. The musical experiences they gained together with Broes in China and Belarus have created an emotional and energetic bond that has visibly strengthened their interplay. Virtuosos on strings, sometimes sincere, then again exuberant - that is what you are treated to at a concert by Duo De Schepper-Sanczuk.
