Balbancha Dance Festival is a three-day celebration of dance, culture, and community in the heart of New Orleans. Rooted in the spirit of Balbancha—the Choctaw name for the land now known as New Orleans—the festival brings together internationally acclaimed artists, educators, musicians, and dancers to honor the rich movement traditions of the African Diaspora and beyond.
Experience inspiring performances, immersive workshops, live music, cultural conversations, and opportunities to connect with a vibrant community of artists and lifelong learners. Whether you're a professional dancer, educator, student, or simply passionate about movement, Balbancha offers a welcoming space to learn, celebrate, and be transformed through dance.
Honor the Land. Celebrate the Movement. Build Community.
