It’s time to celebrate - Lancashire Badger Group was formed 40 years ago in February 1987!So we’ve got a great evening of entertainment for you to mark that milestone - and, of course, raise a bit of money for our work.
It’s on Friday 12 February 2027, at the New Continental pub restaurant, Preston. Huge thanks to them for their support.
After a sell-out Edinburgh Fringe comedy show, Matt Hobs is now touring the country. And we are the only venue in the North West for the show about how the worlds of humans and badgers collide.
The show takes us on Hobs’ journey from a passing interest in badgers, to an obsession that leads to him standing in a field looking at a caged, frightened badger caught up in the controversy of the bovine TB debate. We’ll learn about the European badger and its dachshund nemesis, the presidential American badger, the world-famous internet sensation that is the honey badger and many more.
“His storytelling is gripping, his facts are fascinating, and his punchlines are perfectly timed.” ★★★★.5 - Edinburgh Reviews.
“... a fusion of badger facts, sharp jokes and winning West Country charm... it’s a show about badgers – but this is no gimmick.” ★★★★ - Broadway Baby
Our first half will be Trouble at’ Mill, local folk duet Graham and Bernadette Dixon.
“Their songs are so funny because they are so relatable and well observed and delivered in such a relaxed manner. The audience loved them”.
The £15 tickets are on sale now, only on our website, https://www.lancashirebadgergroup.org.uk/product/badger-bonanza-tickets/
