What is Bachata? One of the most popular Latin dance alongside Salsa, Bachata is a romantic, rhythmic partner dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. Known for its close connection, hip movement, and soulful music, bachata has become one of the most popular social dances worldwide — danced everywhere from casual house parties to packed dance clubs. It's easy to fall in love with, and even easier to get hooked on!
This course is suitable for beginners and improvers that want to learn the building blocks of Bachata, including body movement, leading, following and basic musicality. Our goal is not to overwhelm people with new moves weekly but to go through how to lead and follow your dance partner. What you'll learn:
Week 1: Fundamentals of Leading & Following
Week 2~3: Essential Movements
Week 4: Simple Bachata Musicality & Footwork that you can use
