B3C Connect is a free, one-day filmmaking conference from the Black Cincinnati Cinema Collective. Four panels walk through how films actually get made, Pre-Production, Production, Post-Production to Distribution, with room for your questions at every stage. You'll leave knowing more about the craft and knowing more of the people doing it here in Cincinnati.
What we'll cover
Pre-Production: Story, script, budget, crew and locations, and how the plan comes together before the camera rolls.
Production: How a smart set runs, how the team works together and how the shot gets captured without burning the budget.
Post-Production: Editing, color, sound and music, and how the final cut takes shape.
Distribution: Festivals, streaming and building an audience, because a finished film still has to find its viewers.
Who it's for
Everybody it takes to make a film. Actors. Wardrobe. Makeup and hair. Sound. Camera, grip and electric. Art department and set design. Editors, colorists and VFX artists. Writers, directors and producers. And the folks who don't realize yet that a film set needs exactly what they do. If you want to be part of future productions, in front of the camera or behind it, you belong here. No project required. First time near a set or fiftieth, come through.
