Qigong (pronounced chee-gung) is an ancient practice that invites us to work with our life force energy to cultivate health, vitality, and balance. Through intentional movement, breath, and mindful awareness, we’ll explore ways to release stress and create greater harmony within.
Inspired by the natural rhythm of autumn—a season of slowing down, turning inward, and releasing what is no longer needed—this 90-minute workshop invites you to connect more deeply with yourself. We’ll explore gentle qigong practices to release tension, find grounding, and create space for renewal. As you practice, you’ll cultivate greater awareness of the subtle flow of energy within your body and learn simple techniques for guiding and directing it. Whether you’re looking to ease stress, increase vitality, or simply feel more at home in your body, qigong offers a holistic practice for nurturing your whole self.No prior qigong experience is necessary. Come as you are, and give yourself this time to slow down, reconnect, and welcome the changing season with greater ease and groundedness.
About Rachel
Hello! I’m Rachel Taylor, a qigong and yoga teacher passionate about helping people reconnect with their bodies through mindful movement and energy cultivation. As someone who has always been more of a “head type,” I have found both yoga and qigong transformative in developing a deeper sense of embodiment and inner balance. My journey began during my yin yoga training, where I first realized the profound impact these practices could have on physical and emotional well-being. Soon after, I discovered qigong, which became the foundation of both my personal practice and teaching.I received my 200-hour yoga certification in 2018 and currently hold a 500-hour qigong certification through Holden Qigong. My teaching blends qigong with supportive movement practices like yoga to create a balanced, sustainable approach to wellness. I focus on cultivating strength, flexibility, smooth energy flow, and a calm, grounded state of mind. My goal is to help people move with greater ease and reconnect with their body’s natural capacity for healing.I moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2023 after hiking 1,000 miles of the Appalachian Trail. These days, I enjoy exploring local trails, finding new mountains to climb, and taking my paddleboard out on the water.
