About this Event
Join Heart Comonos for our Healthy Minds Initiative with individual therapy, group therapy and art wellness sessions! These workshops are part of the Heart Comonos mission to promote emotional and spiritual wellness in Cooksville.
This is our first art wellness workshop with Carissa Beresford. Autumn Equinox is a time of shifting, letting go, slowing down and balance. Carissa will hold space to discuss aligning with the natural cycles of seasons to support holistic wellbeing. You will create a unique vision board with clear intention to focus on bringing your goals to fruition.
In addition, Carissa will be providing templates for Orange Shirt Day/Every Child Matters to turn into shrink art keychains or pins! See examples below.
Magazines, flyers and National Geographics will be provided. If you have a specific visuals you'd like to add, please bring them with you.
Meet the Facilitator, Carissa
Carissa Beresford was born and raised in Mississauga and lives in Cooksville today. She is an Anishnabe kwe, Eagle Clan from Mississauga. Her ancestors were Innu, Beothuk and Mi'kmaq, English and Irish. She is the founder of Waterfall of Wellness and the recipient of three CommunityVotes Mississauga Awards for Art and Enrichment Programs and Holistic Wellness as well as two Mississauga News Readers' Choice Gold Awards for Holistic Health/Healing. Carissa has a passion for working with families and sharing holistic wellness teachings. Arts and crafts have always been a part of life and are a healthy outlet for Carissa.
