For one night only Bedfordshire’s best known big band - The Mainline Big Band will be performing at Houghton Conquest Village Hall on Sunday 25th October 7:30 pm. ADMISSION IS FREE and a bar will be available. (The Band gratefully accepts donations).
The Mainline Big Band is a full-sized big band, with two vocalists and performs for:
* Fundraising concerts
* Social evenings and community gatherings
* Special celebrations and themed events
The band’s line up includes: Two vocalists, five saxophone players, four trumpeters, four trombonists and a rhythm section of piano, rhythm guitar, bass guitar and drums. It plays from a comprehensive library of music from the 1920s (e.g. Glen Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, etc) to contemporary pop (e.g. Adele, Michael Buble, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder)
Audiences are encouraged to bring their dancing legs and dance along as well as listen to the music performed.
