Philip Paris has an army of reading fans dedicated to his fine Scottish historical novels, including An Italian Chapel in Orkney and the best-selling The Last Witch of Scotland. His latest novel, A Fire in their Hearts, centres around the turmoil in Scotland during the 1660s as Charles II tightened his grip on the church and state. It's going to delight fans, and attract new readers and we're very much looking forward to welcoming Philip to discuss his writing and inspiration to Linlithgow for the first time.
SYNOPSIS
As civil war tears through the country and King Charles II tightens his grip on the Church of Scotland, childhood sweethearts Violet and Samuel are drawn into a dangerous struggle for the freedom to follow their belief.
