Join us for s really special evening celebrating the power of cold water! Brigid Lowe's Shiver charts her pledge to swim in 1000 Scottish lochs, while Beth McDonough's A Year in Water is a mixture of poetry and prose, recipes and tips all based a calendar year of cold water swimming.
We'll be hearing from both Brigid and Beth throughout the evening, so shake off your dry robe and head to St Peter's to embrace the healing power of a cold water dip!
BRIGID LOWE, SHIVER
After Brigid Lowe’s world is upended, Scotland becomes her home. Its icy, wild waters a place of visceral relief. Baptising herself into this new life, Brigid sets herself a challenge: to swim in 1,000 of these spectacular lochs.
And so Brigid’s adventures begin: stepping into ice and caves and sacred springs, she swims with birds, conger eels and seals, across forest and mountain and moor, alone and with her children in tow.
