For Brothers That Talk x #Merky Books Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month Book Club
This November, For Brothers That Talk and #Merky Books are coming together to create a space for men to connect, reflect and talk openly about mental health and wellbeing.Hosted by For Brothers That Talk founder Michael Gyambibi, the evening will bring together authors Derek Owusu (The Recovery House) and Sufiyaan Salam (Wimmy Road Boyz) for an open and honest conversation about mental health, masculinity, identity and the experiences that have shaped their books.
We’ll start the evening with time to hang out, meet new people and connect with the community before coming together for the main conversation. All guests will be able to submit questions anonymously ahead of the event.
After the conversation, there’ll be plenty of time to stick around, chat and pick up copies of the books.More than a traditional book event, this is an opportunity to slow down, share space and have the kinds of conversations we don’t make enough room for.
All ticket sales include a drink - proceeds go to Family Futures CIC.
