English Synopsis
Before becoming immortal deities, the Eight Immortals choose to form a ragtag team and stir up trouble on Penglai Island. Led by Lü Dongbin and Zhongli Quan, the group — He Xiangu, Tieguai Li, Han Xiangzi, Cao Guojiu, Lan Caihe and Zhang Guolao — are eight ordinary people from all walks of life who end up at the mythical Penglai Paradise by chance. Posing as immortals, they run a Taoist temple and promise to answer every wish from the locals. Beneath their bumbling facade lies a bold, elaborate scheme — but a far greater conspiracy is quietly closing in on them.
